Increase Annual Giving |
Every desk and chair in Brown University's library had someone's name on it, but the school
had to scramble
to mow the lawn. Brown wished to increase unrestricted annual giving, and especially reunion class giving, without cutting into capital contributions. |
Solution
Video Direct Mail |
Targeting reunion classes, we worked with the university's development officers to create a video direct-mail campaign. From four days of shooting over Brown's reunion/commencement weekend, we produced an emotion-packed 15-minute video titled Reunion and a training tape designed to motivate and educate Brown's volunteer fundraisers. The video was distributed to the following year's reunion class in an elegantly packaged box. |
Results |
The next year, annual giving rose by 25% and attendance at reunion weekend increased 20%. Of course there were many university programs running parallel with ours and we can't claim all the credit - but see the film. www.brown.edu (Videoware Corporation) |
